upsammy, the stage name of Dutch producer and DJ Thessa Torsing, is an emerging under-30 artist. Her music draws from IDM, experimental techno, ambient, and nature-inspired sounds. In her live performances, she stands out for her delicate crystalline melodies combined with complex rhythms, often enriched by field recordings and organic textures. The connection between synthetic and natural elements is reflected in her DJ sets and albums. In her sets, the artist offers listeners an experiential journey, blending psychedelic techno, experimental drum & bass, and dreamlike sounds.
Beyond music production, Thessa Torsing explores intersections between sound, photography, and video, thanks to her academic background in Image and Media Technology at the Utrecht University of the Arts.
